Winter hiking – a great way to explore Ridanna/Ridnaun
If the stress and crowds of the ski pistes are too much for you, try this quiet, relaxing activity and explore the region during snow shoe hiking tours in Ridanna/Ridnaun.
Snow shoe hiking is a great way of exploring pristine meadows and untouched forests. With snow shoes on your feet you can venture where others fear to treat, and make your way up to the highest Alpine huts. You will be able to appreciate the peace and quiet of the nature and find your inner peace. Snow shoe hiking is a truly unique winter experience!
It does not take long to learn the technique, and all you need for your first tours in the snow is a bit of stamina and motivation. If you are planning to explore the high altitudes, however, you should carry avalanche equipment and be familiar with the most important rules to avoid avalanches.
Good shoes, however, are all you need to explore the well-prepared winter hiking trails in Ridanna/Ridnaun. Some of those trails lead up to quaint, traditional Alpine huts that are also a good place to embark on toboggan adventures. Sleds can be rented at most huts.
