Gassenhof in South Tyrol: a family tradition

Meet the Volgger family

The beginnings of our family-run hotel in South Tyrol date back to the year 1974, when Helene and Adolf Volgger opened a little boarding house. The Volgger family was very diligent. Soon, more and more guests came to stay at their hotel in Ridanna/Ridnaun in South Tyrol. Over the decacdes, Gassenhof was renewed several times, extended and beautified. Today, the family-run hotel in South Tyrol is a renowned 4-star hotel where South Tyrolean hospitality prevails, day in and day out.

Senior chef Adolf and the other family members are actively involved in our family business. Sieglinde and Ulrike, the daughters of the house, and daughter-in-law Gerda are responsible for the restaurant. The three ladies make sure our guests enjoy a fresh start into the day. Son Manfred, hiking guide and entertainer is in charge of the general (good) mood. A passionate distiller, he also shows our guests the region on his popular guided hikes. Son Stefan is the kitchen chef at our gourmet hotel, creating one culinary delicacy after the other. His wife Martina works in the beauty spa of our spa hotel, pampering our guests with some of the most sought-after treatments.

All members of the Volgger family have followed their passion and found their calling. Today they are united by one common mission: to offer all their guests at Gassenhof a great and unique holiday.
