Inside, you can spend quality time with your children, enjoying swimming pools, playrooms for kids and teenagers, and delicious culinary treats. With plenty of space to have fun and relax, of course.

And do you know the best part? There's always something exciting to do at Gassenhof, so boredom simply isn't an option. Today it's all about splashing around in the water, tomorrow it's time for mountain adventures. Dive into the fun

Parents and children splashing happily together: if ever there was a picture of the perfect family holiday, this would be it. That's right: in our main building, you'll find the Gassenbadl, a family water world where you can swim, play and enjoy carefree moments with your children.

There's a lazy river where you can let the current carry you along, sometimes gently, sometimes with a little more excitement. Usually, it's Mum and Dad who are the first to shout, “One more round!”

Little ones have their own paddling pool with a small slide and fun splash features. There's also an indoor pool, a hot whirlpool and our outdoor pool heated to 36°C. And don't miss our family sauna sessions twice a week, when children can join their parents and discover the benefits of this relaxing ritual for the very first time.

If there's still some energy left after all that splashing around (and we're pretty sure there will be), there's plenty more to do.

For younger children, there's a bright playroom featuring a memory wall, a playhouse complete with slide, a reading corner and a children's computer.

Teenagers, meanwhile, have their very own space with ping pong, table football and a pool table.

P.S. The i-Wall is actually intended for you teenagers. But we've caught quite a few mums and dads dancing, ski jumping and playing bowling games on it, too. And really, who could blame them?

IS ERLEBNISORT GASSENHOF A FAMILY HOTEL?

Erlebnisort Gassenhof in Ridnaun isn't a traditional family hotel with all-day childcare. However, families are always warmly welcome, and we offer a dedicated family wellness area, playrooms for children and teenagers, experiences suitable for younger guests, and family-friendly rooms and suites.

DOES GASSENHOF OFFER CHILDCARE?

At Gassenhof, you won't find the traditional childcare services offered by family hotels. Instead, we focus on experiences families can enjoy together, whether that's splashing around in the Gassenbadl pools, exploring the mountains or setting off on a wonderful excursion. We also offer plenty of opportunities to tailor your family holiday to your individual wishes.

WHAT DOES THE FAMILY WATER WORLD INCLUDE?

The Gassenbadl, our family water world opened in 2026, offers a lazy river, indoor pool, hot whirlpool, outdoor pool heated to 36°C, paddling pool with slide and splash features, family relaxation areas and a sauna area, among other facilities.

IS THERE ALSO A FAMILY SAUNA?

Yes. Twice a week, we organise family sauna sessions that children can attend together with their parents.

ARE THERE SEPARATE PLAYROOMS FOR DIFFERENT AGE GROUPS?

Yes. For younger children, we have a playroom with a memory wall, playhouse with slide, reading corner and children's computer. Teenagers have their own games room with an i-Wall, ping pong, table football and a pool table.

CAN CHILDREN LEARN TO SKI AT ERLEBNISORT GASSENHOF?

Yes. The Gasse ski lift is located right next to the hotel and is particularly suitable for children and beginners. It's just a five-minute walk away, and as our guests, you'll receive a discount on the day pass. If your children are already confident on skis, the slopes of the Ratschings-Jaufen, Rosskopf and Ladurns ski areas await.

CAN WE GO HIKING WITH CHILDREN DIRECTLY FROM THE HOTEL?

Yes. There are various walking and hiking trails around Gassenhof, many of which are also suitable for pushchairs. We particularly recommend the trail to the little church of St. Magdalena. Another popular destination is the Wildn Alm mountain hut. This guided hike is a real highlight of our weekly programme. Once we reach the hut, we'll prepare delicious Kaiserschmarrn together.
