As a bike holiday destination, South Tyrol used to be a well-kept secret. Now, the beautiful snapshots going viral on social networks have made it a connoisseur’s choice for bikers from all over the world. Staying at Erlebnisort Gassenhof gives you access to a wealth of different trails and tours. All you need to do is saddle up and pedal your way out of our garage and onto the many dirt paths across the forests and fields of the Ridnauntal valley.

In fact, the area surrounding our hotel in Ridnaun has a lot to offer for beginners and experienced cyclists alike. The unspoilt Ridnaun mountainscape in particular is much loved by mountain bikers – not least for the quaint, welcoming huts offering tasty stopovers along the way.

With South Tyrol’s spectacular pass roads, racing cyclists have plenty to sink their teeth into, as well. Starting from Erlebnisort Gassenhof, we recommend the road up the Jaufen Pass, which then meanders its way downhill into the Passeiertal valley over generous serpentines.

If you would rather spare your calves while still enjoying a long ride out in the mountains, you can rent an electric bike right here at our hotel (for a nominal fee of €28 per day). If you bring your own bike from home, you are welcome to leave it in our safe bike room, which is also equipped with the necessary tools for small repairs.
