Splash, splash - and sometimes a little wilder. In the Gassenbadl in the main building at Erlebnisort Gassenhof in Ridnaun, wellness time belongs to the whole family.
This is where water fun and relaxation come together: with a lazy river, an indoor pool and a hot whirlpool, a 36 °C outdoor pool, a paddling pool, a sauna area and plenty of space to relax.
For the kids, that means splashing, sliding and letting the lazy river carry them along. And the parents? They can relax in one of the spacious, cozy relaxation oases while keeping an eye on the cheerful activity around them.
That is what family wellness at Gassenhof means to us: experiencing things together, relaxing together and finding the right favourite spot for every age.

We would not be able to call Gassenhof a place of experiences if our offer didn’t include an exciting water world as well as a sauna realm and an exclusive spa experience. We want every guest, young or old, to get the very best from their stay, so we’ve made our indoor pool area family-friendly by adding intriguing features, such as a counter-current unit and a waterfall, to keep your children happy and entertained.
While the little ones splash away in the pool, you can get some well-deserved rest in the hot whirlpool and on the hydromassage loungers, or enjoy the panoramic view over the Ridnauntal valley from the adjacent winter garden or the spacious sunbathing lawn, depending on the season.

Erlebnisort Gassenhof is a place of experiences through and through. So, it only makes sense that our lazy river is great fun. And not just for the kids!
Get into the water and let the current carry you. Or who can manage to swim against it? Sometimes gentle, sometimes fast. Don’t be surprised if Mum and Dad suddenly find it just as hard as the children to get out of the water.
Paddling pool for our little guests
First water adventures with a slide and splash features
For the very little ones, there’s a paddling pool with a small slide and fun splash features.
They can splash, slide, spray water and marvel as water suddenly gushes out from unexpected places. It’s quite exciting!
And before their little fingers get all wrinkly, it’s time to wrap them up in a cosy towel and climb onto the lounger. A little nap with Mum and Dad in between? That sounds pretty good to us.
Indoor pool & hot whirlpool in the Gassenbadl
A family holiday should be easy: swimsuits on, grab a towel and off you go to the Gassenbadl.
The indoor pool is for splashing, swimming and playing. Maybe a game of chase is underway, maybe the goggles are already on, or maybe you're simply doing a few laps together. Every family finds its own rhythm here.
And whenever it’s time for a break, the hot whirlpool awaits. The bubbling water is relaxing for guests of all ages.
Family sauna at Erlebnisort Gassenhof
In the Gassenbadl’s sauna area, families can enjoy the warmth and relaxation together.
The area includes a steam bath, a Finnish sauna and a non-nudist sauna. Twice a week, we hold our family sauna, where younger guests can experience sauna together with their parents.
Outside these family sauna times, the sauna area in the Gassenbadl is reserved for guests aged 14 and over.
Anyone who knows Erlebnisort Gassenhof knows that we like to turn a sauna session into a little more of an experience. That is why exfoliation rituals in the steam bath and other sauna experiences are a regular part of our weekly programme.
If you would like to ease your way into sauna, the Gassenbadl also has a non-nudist sauna. The rest of the sauna area is a nude zone.
Sometimes family wellness is wonderfully quiet
Cuddling very much encouraged
After all that water, current and warmth, there comes a time for a break. And we've created plenty of space for exactly that in the Gassenbadl.
In the relaxation rooms with loungers and large cozy relaxation oases, you can retreat together. Feet up, eyes closed, a quick doze. On warm days, the garden outside has sun loungers waiting.
Because a family holiday at Erlebnisort Gassenhof needs both: plenty of experience and enough space to wind down afterwards.

WHAT DOES THE FAMILY WATER WORLD AT GASSENHOF INCLUDE?
The Gassenbadl is the family water world at Erlebnisort Gassenhof in Ridnaun. It includes an indoor pool and hot whirlpool, a 36°C outdoor pool, lazy river, a paddling pool, sauna area, spacious relaxation areas and a garden.
IS THERE A SEPARATE POOL FOR CHILDREN AT GASSENHOF?
Yes. The Gassenbadl has a separate paddling pool for children with a small slide and fun splash features.
IS THERE A SAUNA IN THE FAMILY AREA?
Yes. The Gassenbadl includes a steam bath, Finnish sauna and non-nudist sauna. There is also a family sauna twice a week.
FROM WHAT AGE CAN CHILDREN USE THE SAUNA AREA?
Outside the family sauna sessions, the Gassenbadl sauna area is open to guests aged 14 and over. During the family sauna, which takes place twice a week, younger children may also join with their parents.
DOES GASSENHOF HAVE A NON-NUDIST SAUNA?
Yes. The Gassenbadl has a non-nudist sauna where guests wear swimwear. The rest of the sauna area is a nude zone.
WHAT ELSE IS THERE FOR CHILDREN?
Erlebnisort Gassenhof has a children´s playroom with a playhouse, slide and other play features, as well as a separate teens´ games room with i-Wall, ping pong, table football and pool table.
IS THERE ALSO AN ADULTS-ONLY WELLNESS AREA?
Yes. In addition to the Gassenbadl, the Gassenloge is the adults-only wellness area for guests aged 16 and over. It includes the 20 metre infinity outdoor pool, outdoor-hot-whirlpool, event sauna, tree sauna, steam bath and relaxation areas.
