More than just a ski area

Ratschings, a year-round outdoor paradise

Ratschings (or Racines, in Italian) enjoys a privileged position at the meeting point of three side valleys of the Wipptal valley: the Ratschingstal valley, the Jaufental valley and the Ridnauntal valley. This makes it the perfect year-round holiday destination. Beautifully framed by the Stubai Alps, it attracts scores of discerning walkers, hikers and mountaineers, all eager to enjoy its sunny alpine pastures, verdant forests and majestic peaks away from South Tyrol’s busiest tourist routes.

Perfect for a ski holiday

When temperatures drop, it’s time to go out and play… at least here in Ratschings! If you count snow among your best friends, the Ratschings-Jaufen ski area will make you feel at home with its sunny, groomed slopes. It is located only 10 kilometres away from Erlebnisort Gassenhof, and offers 25 kilometres of quality-seal winning pistes at all levels of difficulty. To add a touch of quaint indulgence to the experience, don’t miss the chance to visit the Alpine huts, which serve delectable traditional fare with a side of breathtaking panorama.
