Winter bliss: ski holidays in South Tyrol

A ski holiday in South Tyrol is pure pleasure for all who love winter, sports, spa bliss and gourmet delights. This rustic region South of Brennero offers just about anything you may wish for during a ski holiday: fun on the slopes and après ski, adventure and culinary discoveries, new experiences and pure enjoyment. If you are looking to spend your winter holiday in South Tyrol far from the slopes, try snowshoeing or winter walking.

Ski holiday in South Tyrol: Ridanna and Racines

Our hotel in Ridanna/Ridnaun is the ideal destination for a ski holiday in South Tyrol. The ski resort Racines-Giovo/Ratschings-Jaufen is situated only ten kilometres from Gassenhof. A highly modern gondola lift with 8 seats takes you up to the mountain station, at 2,150 metres. The ride with the gondola lift offers an unforgettable experience and a fantastic panorama. And once you reach the top, you are ready to go. The slopes are waiting and the views of the surrounding South Tyrolean mountains are a true sight for sore eyes.

The varied slopes in the ski resort Racines-Giovo/Ratschings-Jaufen are not only perfect for skiers, but also for snowboarders. The well maintained ski runs with snow guarantee were awarded the international quality seal “Skiareatest” in 2013/2014; the ski resort was named “shooting star of the year”. During your ski holiday in Racines/Ratschings you enjoy a total of 25 slope kilometres, 8 lifts and 16 slopes, with something for every level: beginner to professional. The absolute highlight for your day on the slopes, however, are the South Tyrolean delicacies to be enjoyed in one of the rustic ski huts on the slopes. Visit these local eatieries for a truly unforgettable time and take in the heartfelt hospitality!
